This unique extension to the Orbit's core EOS Server enables you to publish you Mobile Mapping content over internet to other Orbit systems, Orbit FlexMap and FlexPano internet browser clients, and mobile PanoViewer apps for iPhone and iPad.
Do you ? Then you know that the Orbit Asset Inventory Management tool is perfect for maximizing the use of this content in enterprise wide production and consulting environments.
Using this extension to Orbit's EOS server, you can publish you mobile mapping projects over the internet to web browsers, mobile apps and other Orbit AIM installations.
Orbit FlexPano is the free Adobe Flash based viewer for your MoMa content on the internet.
Download the free PanoViewer for iOS platform from the iTunes App Store.
The EOS MoMa Publishing extension requires an EOS Server to be installed. It also requires at least 1 license of Orbit AIM for the management of the Mobile Mapping content projects on the server.
This extension requires mobile mapping projects to be configured exactly the same as it is required by Orbit AIM. Use Orbit AIM to create, import and organized MoMa projects. This will make them available within Orbit AIM as a standard Client/Server installation.
Use the EOS Console to publish MoMa projects to the internet. Technically, MoMa projects will be made accessible through standard http and tcp/ip protocols, opening access to web browsers, mobile aps and others.
Use the Orbit FlexPano tool to access your MoMa content. Orbit FlexPano is an Adobe Flex(r) component that runs in any browser on any platform using the Adobe Flash player (from version 10 on). Orbit FlexPano is free of use.
Orbit FlexPano is equipped with an API that is accessible through javascript. Use this API from within any host software to connect to your MoMa projects via the free Orbit FlexPano.
Publish you MoMa content for mobile access : the free PanoViewer application is ready to use on iPhone and iPad !
The EOS MoMa Publishing extension provides services to expose your panoramic images to the world. A consumer can be on the web (using Orbit FlexPano) or mobile (using the PanoViewer App).
Using the EOS Console, you assign projects to users. Users need login name and password to get access. Both internet and mobile users require these credentials to get access.
On the internet, web pages can embed Orbit's FlexPano viewer. This web solution must provide the proper credentials (lURL/ogin/password) to Orbit FlexPano to be allowed access to the EOS MoMa Publishing extension.
The PanoViewer app provides a Settings panel in which each user can enter the credentials you provide : server location (URL), login and password.
The publishing of Point Clouds is related to your MoMa project. If your project contains a point cloud, it will be accessible.
The EOS MoMa Publishing extension will not expose your point cloud to be accessed directly. It will only allow the consumers (orbit FlexPano on the web and Orbit's PanoViewer for iOS) to do basic measurements.
Consult our knowledge base for details on the FlexPano API.

Providing Mobile Mapping content to the world requires this :
1. Be sure you have internet broadband access in relation to your customer consumption profile.
2. Get a hosting service that is scalable in processing power
3. Be sure you have enough storage space with for optimized harddisc read performance (raid systems etc).
Providing MoMa publisging services is all about the amount of content you can push over the internet. This is mainly about images which are directly read from disc, hence the fast disc access as an important criterium.
Secondly, the amount of image data that is provided, e.g. 10 images per second at a medium image size of 3MB, will decide the power you need from your internet hosting service.
