Print and Export

One of the most important aspects of a GIS software suite is the output of data. Either for internal use or delivery to third parties.
Therefore we list all print and export functions below.

The Print section relates to all functions that have a print out on paper as a result. It explains not only how to make a print, but also how to make and manage print layouts in Orbit.

The Export section lists all exports of data in Orbit. This data can mean datasets, in the available formats, images, indicating a resolution and output format, or lists of surveyed data.

Print	Orbit includes a simple but effective printing function. It simply duplicates your view onto your printer of choice.

Export Datasets
Save Dataset As	Save the indicated datataset as another file. The only available format is the extension of the current dataset.
Export Dataset To	Export a Dataset to another dataset using another storage format, file name and directory.
Export Selection as a Dataset	Export a set of objects to a new dataset. Use the Object Inspector, the Find Objects Tool or the Query Objects Tool to gather the set of objects.
Add Buffer as a new Dataset	Use the Buffer Tool to create a buffer from an existing object, export the created buffer as a new dataset.
Export Images
Export View as Image	Make an export of the map view by clicking right on the Mapcanvas, choose the preferred format of your exported image.
Copy View to Clipboard	Copy the map view to Clipboard by clicking right on the Mapcanvas, paste the clipboard in an external program.
Convert Image Format	The Convert Image Format Tool makes it possible to convert supported image files to another supported image format in Orbit.
Make Multiresolution Image	Use this tool to convert large images to a Multiresolution format ( OMI or Orbit Multiresolution Image ).
Make Symbol Library Image	Make an image file from a symbol library in Orbit.
Make Legend Display Image	Make an image file from the legend display of a dataset.
Export Lists
Export Attribute Table List	From the Attribute Table it is possible to export a set of selected records into a table. Adjust the selection in the attribute table and export .
Export Orbit Object List	The Orbit Object List (.ool) is a file that contains a set of objects. This set of objects can consist of objects from different models and even different datasets.
