Open, Create or Remove Datasets

This topic focuses on adding datasets to and removing datasets from the dataset list. There is made a difference between adding already created datasets and creating new datasets.

With the button, it is possible to:

Open DataSet	Open an already existing dataset with the resource browser
New DataSet	Create an entire new dataset
New Symbol Dataset	Create a new symbol dataset to make it possible to add individual symbols to a dataset
Import & Geocode	Convert table data into a spatial dataset

Notes
- Datasets can also be added by drag and drop : Drag the dataset from the file folder and drop it onto the Dataset List or Map Canvas.
- All resources that can be added to Orbit GIS are here listed.

With the button, it is possible to remove a dataset from the dataset list by:
1. Activating the dataset
2. Clicking the ”-” button on top of the dataset list.
  For example:
  
  In this example, the “highway”-dataset will be removed from the dataset list.
