Add users here by entering a login, a display name, a password and by assigning them to a user group (optional) and give them access to necessary resources and extensions.

| Display Name | Enter a display name for the user. | |
| Password | Enter password. It is possible to keep this field empty to allow for example “guest” users to have access to EOS resources. (Normally, the “guest” user only has view permissions). | |
| Groups | Add or remove user groups. Remember to first define a user group, then assign a user to the group. It is also possible to keep this field empty. | |
| Private Permissions & Roles | ||
| Resource | Lists all resources where a certain user gets access to. Use the buttons at the bottom of the list to add or remove a resource. The position of the resource in the list is also the position of the resource in the dataset list in OrbitGIS. | |
| Permission | Choose one of the three options: “hidden”, “viewable” or “editable” to give the user access or no access to the selected dataset or the ability or inability to edit the content of the selected resource. See resource use. | |
| Extension | Lists all extensions where a certain user gets access to. Use the buttons at the bottom of the list to add or remove an extension. | |
| Role | Choose one of the three options: “user”, “operator” or “administrator”. | |
| User | With this role it is only possible to consult data. | |
| Operator | With this role data can be consulted, entered and deleted. | |
| Administrator | With this role data can be consulted, entered, deleted, import and export. | |
